The employees of Hudson News voted to join the Guild in 2000. Since then members from Hudson News operations at Penn Station, the Port Authority Bus Terminal, the World Trade Center and Javits Center have continuted to work collectively to improve their contract and ensure benefits for new hires as well as current employees. The most recent four-year contract provides several new unit benefits, including, for the first time, company contributions to the retirement plan, night differentials for the overnight shift, and longevity pay, in addition to annual wage increases.
